Indoor cycling and barre instructor Emily Lavelle is a lifelong athlete and healthy living advocate. She is Mad Dogg Spinning Certified and IBFFA Barre Certified. Emily's belief in the mind-body connection informs her teaching style, and her goal is for her students to walk away from every class feeling "better"-- physically, emotionally, and mentally. Emily has been described by members as a "wolf in sheep's clothing," as she pushes her students to their ultimate physical limits, but with a motivating, encouraging energy, and always with a smile. Emily focuses on form, technique, and somatic awareness in both her cycling and barre classes, and strives to create a positive, communal energy in the room. A native of Ohio, she has lived in New York City for ten years. She is also a writer and editor with a passion for nature and the outdoors. Spend 45 minutes or an hour with Emily, and you will sweat, sing, and smile!
